Triple Entendre App Reviews

Fiendishly entertaining

If you love puzzles that drive you crazy and keep you up at night, what are you waiting for?

Opinionated

Its just like being in the Army, theres the real answer, and theres the Triple Entendre answer. No way to challenge the "puzzles" expected answers . The "puzzles" are weak and one sided, with a not-so-clever answer apparently being correct when there are several, more correct, answers available. Leaves you guessing tangible answers until you hit the app expects. This app teaches you no more than to copy and paste (one example is the level that asks the language of Pomerania).

Addictive fun

Keeps you drawn in, albeit frustrating at times.

Awesome

Addictive!!

Brilliant game, an enjoyable challenge.... :)

Skips are good, but paying for them is not.

Making the "new" program (80s music) an add-on to the original, was not a good idea. If you have to re-install it (which I should do on my iphone because it never worked at all) would mean that I would lose all the answers to Triple Entendre and have to re-answer 76 questions just to be able to tackle the update. Fortunately I have been able to work on it on the iPad. Worse yet, the music application has many bugs, according to the feedback on the site, although my copy on the iPad has pretty much been flawless. I finished it in 2 days whereas the other puzzles took a week or so. It is definitely worth the money but having to pay 99 cents to skip as many as 3 levels was a terrible idea. Many developers ask you to pay for hints and, clearly, hints would have been welcome instead. I wrote the developers several times regarding the iphone issue, but they did not come up with a solution other than reinstalling, which might or might not work. Since Ive already finished the music level I dont want to reinstall and have to re-enter my original answers to make the other application work. I would have been much more comfortable had this not been an add-on. And if they ever add more levels to the music app, it wont work if they dont fix this issue. And one of the worst things is that people dont even know the 80s Music application exists unless they have the Triple Entendre application itself. Since it is not standalone, no one has thought to review it. Promoting it as a separate application would have made more sense in terms of sales.

Lots of fun

The game is fun, addictive, challenging and imaginative. However, the appearance is a little sophomoric. This is an iPad app, after all, and if it isnt gorgeous, it might as well just be played on a website.

Wolf

This game is so addicting, totally recommend it, also fun to do with friends!

This is my crack

I feel like a detective with each new puzzle. SO frustrating sometimes but that makes it all the better when you finally get the answer. Warning: time FLIES by once youre involved.

Favorite !

Addicting and challenging. Not your average puzzle game.

This really fun!

Played this alone a few days before a family trip and got thru several levels. Then played with my niece and nephew and now theyre addicted too. Get a real rush from solving some of the puzzles! Recommend planning to play on iPad with the split screen, on iPhone its a bit tedious switching from puzzle to web

Love them puzzles

This game makes my brain hurt in a good way! These really unique puzzles are so satisfying once you solve them.

Wow!

This game is awesome! Buy it if you love puzzle games!

Fascinating

This is a great compilation of riddles. The questions are like a riddle and a scavenger hunt, where you are given certain clues and must go research to figure out what they mean, and then infer what both the question and answer are. The riddles take you fascinating places to learn about lots of interesting things. And the difficult questions will sit on your brain for days as you try to piece out what comes next. They have also done a great job telling you when you are on the right track, to avoid the "false negative" problem a lot of guessing games fall into. If you give an answer that is almost right, theyll nudge you to keep going rather than letting you think that youre in the wrong mindset. Good stuff!

Abandoned

Triple Entendre has a great concept and a good execution. Its a little clunky and certainly doesnt take advantage of many fancier features of the iPad or iPhone. But in terms of brain challenges, Ive found nothing else out there to compare. So why so few stars? Because every app needs tending, and this one doesnt get any. The developers have essentially disowned this app on their own web site and forum, and provide no ongoing support. In the final update months ago, the devs overshot the difficulty level and created a few unsolvable puzzles. They also failed to correct some earlier errors and problems. When they couldnt deal with the backlash from their users and also realized this wasnt the moneymaker they hoped for, they gave up. There was a once-thriving fan community out there on the web, and you can still find help and hints if you try. But the die-hards have lost interest and are drifting away, defeated by 77 and 81. Sad.

Great Little Game

I spend more time with Triple E than I do working... Love it & will buy more!
